Branding + Packaging

Pop Around The Corner

The Brand:

Located in a historic former jewelry store at 325 W Main St in Denison, TX, Pop Around the Corner is a vibrant popcorn destination offering over 50 flavors, freeze-dried candy, specialty sodas, and more. Founded by Derrick and Emily Roberts, the shop brings nostalgic fun to downtown Denison

The Problem:

The existing branding didn’t reflect the shop’s whimsical energy or variety of offerings. Packaging lacked consistency, and the historic building’s restrictions limited impactful exterior signage. Additionally, a lack of documented branding led to inconsistent application across staff and vendors.

The Request

Derrick and Emily hired Undaunted to refresh their brand identity with a fun, flexible look. The task included creating a retro-inspired mascot, developing cohesive packaging, ensuring exterior storefront integration with historic preservation standards, and producing a comprehensive brand guide.

The Results

  • Brand Guide: Delivered a complete brand guide with official color codes (print & digital), typography rules, usage guidelines, and vendor instructions to maintain consistency.
  • Packaging: Extended the playful brand into brightly colored, striped popcorn bags that reflect the logo’s vibe and catch the eye on shelves.
  • Logo & Mascot: Designed a retro popcorn character that feels fresh yet nostalgic, offering plenty of brand application versatility.
